Position: Executive Director

The Executive Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Portland Conservatory of Music and will report to the Board of Directors. The Executive Director will be responsible for managing a staff which includes the office manager/registrar and the associate director of marketing and development, as well as a talented faculty of over 40 instructors.

The applicant should have the following qualifications:

  • Administrative experience in non-profit arts organizations, with emphasis on music education.
  • Experience with music/arts education for all ages.
  • Ability to provide effective leadership.
  • Demonstrated successful financial management of non-profit organizations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with an active board and staff as well as students and families.
  • Skills and willingness to engage in community outreach, fundraising and development.
  • New program development experience.
  • Advanced music education and performance a plus.

Salary: $60,000 – $70,000
